Monday, Monday ...

It was 70 degrees here in North Carolina the middle of last week. But by the weekend, I had dug out my winter jacket, and was wearing it every where. The cold weather came, and it came on fast! But that didn't stop half the town from holding yard sales still. Only in NC, I swear!

We had a good weekend. The sun was shining, and we were able to spend some quality time with friends. M and his buddy watched the kids for a bit while I ran out Saturday morning. Did a little shopping/yard-saling, to be honest, and managed to pick up a bed-side table for only $10. I rearranged half of our bedroom as soon as we got home to make room for it! Saturday evening we went to a local fire department for their annual turkey shoot. M loves them, and even has a gun barrel made especially for competitive shooting at these things. People get real serious around here about their turkey shoots! Small town, I guess ...

Sunday, after a good church service and some house cleaning, M and I hit the road for Raleigh to catch a Carolina Hurricanes game. Wounded Warrior Project had given M a couple tickets, and it was one thing we just couldn't pass up -- we love some hockey! The game was great ... even if we didn't win! Both defenses were solid, so it made for a good watching game!

We're gearing up for a busy week around here with some visitors, lots of fun, and a big parade, too. Looking forward to what this week brings!
