The Days At The End Of The Week

We started the weekend off with little planned -- just going to fly by the seat of our pants. And it ended up going pretty well. The kids and I yard-saled and picked up TONS of new books {one of our favorite things to shop for!} and a few other fun finds for the house. We hit up a local playground, and eventually grabbed some lunch. We played with our Pappy, and his dog. Enjoyed breakfast for dinner. Sat through Student Invasion at church -- where the sermon on Hosea was so amazingly touching. The kids colored some Halloween pictures for a local coloring contest, and we even dug out some water color paints, which entertained them for over an hour! Mom even got in on the fun, painting houses for the kids, and even a Monsters Inc picture. We wrapped our weekend up with a friend's wedding, small and quiet, family-oriented and nice. The kids thought we were watching a princess, and as soon as they kissed, S announced "...and then they fell in love!" Clearly, we've been watching Disney movies a lot lately!

Another good one for the books. I cannot complain. Except that M was working, and unable to completely share in the moments with us.

What about you, friends?! Anything fun that was accomplished this weekend?

  2. We have a 4 day, but have still not managed to accomplish anything. Gota work on the guest room today. I wish we could have done breakfast for dinner, but we didn't have syrup for french toast.. :/
