Welcome to Preschool

For the past few months, we had been hoping and praying to find the right fit for a preschool for S. She's been asking and begging to go to school for as long as I can remember. But honestly, I couldn't see spending hundreds of dollars a month, if we were only using the program for the socialization. Sure, S gets to interact with other kids at church and MOPS, but each different setting provides different structure, and a different kind of environment. So why not another one?! 

So when we found out that we could use the local county's Wee Wings mobile preschool program, we were really excited! For an hour and a half, twice a week, we will meet the bus at a chosen location, where S will board the classroom, learn with her other classmates, and enjoy her "school" experience. And the best part of it -- is that the program is FREE! 

So yesterday, we had our first "home visit" and got to meet the teacher! I really wasn't too sure what to think, given the idea of the program, but had heard a lot of good things and was looking forward to getting started. And now, after meeting her teacher, Ms Mimi, I can honestly say I want to go to school on the Wee Wings Mobile Classroom! I just get the best vibe from the teacher -- and S is already looking forward to being the teacher's helper. 

I'm really looking forward to the 2014-2015 school year -- and I know our preschooler is, too!
