Maine or Bust!

What a week we had last week! As some of you might know, we took the week and headed to visit family in Maine last week! The week flew by, but was full of tons of fun, many memories made, and lots of visiting with family. My brother came to visit for a couple days -- and the kids loved having their Uncle there to make them Lincoln Log houses and be completely silly with them. We took the kids to the local fair, where they rode the rides until they could barely stand up anymore. And then they filled their bellies with all the treats that accompany summer fairs! Fried dough, french fries and vinegar, and hot dogs, too! Yum! We celebrated two birthdays while we were there {mine and my brother's}, held an "absentee" baby shower for my sister-in-law, did a little shopping, and even got to spend time with my best friend and her little girl.

It was a great week -- and a full one, at that. We're happy to be home, and getting back to our normal routine and schedule. But there is no doubt that when we are away from them, we all miss our northern family and friends!
