Happy Monday!
Our weekend was full -- and fun! We spent most of it enjoying family and friends, and loving the wonderful weather we were blessed with.
Saturday morning, we woke up and got the kids ready to head up the road to visit M's Grandfather. After spending the last 59 years married to the same woman, he's been having a bit of a time adjusting to taking care of himself now. So we wanted to look in on him.
We spent our morning outside in the backyard, cooked a nice lunch, and then he treated the kids to ice cream at the self-serve place just down from his house. They were so excited -- and so exhausted when they finally hit the car on the ride home!
After dinner Saturday evening, we fired up the grill and let the kids roast their first marshmallows. S loved it -- even if she was a little scatterbrained being so close to the grill. L wanted nothing to do with roasting them. Or eating any of the roasted mallows, either. He was perfectly content to watch, and eat them straight out of the bag!
We played outside for awhile in the cool fall air, and went for a wagon ride before coming in to wind down before bed.
Sunday brought a good sermon at Church! The series we are working on right now is focusing on money in the Bible, and budgeting/escaping debt, and its perfect timing for us right now! Afterwards, we had lunch out, and came home to color a little with the kids and all enjoy a nice nap.
The best treat of the day?! I didn't have to cook dinner! My father in law decided he wanted to make some BBQ chicken for all of us, and come over for dinner at our house! Such a treat -- and of course, the kids enjoyed seeing him for a few hours in the evening!
What a successful, well-spent weekend!

Last week's goals were pretty successful! We got back to the gym twice, completely cleaned up the laundry room, got all the kids' clothes ready for the consignment sale, and made it to all of our appointments on time! AND we had a blast Friday at our play-date. What a successful week!
This week's goals are:
1. Print off the tags for the sale. The more I can get done now, the better.
2. Clean the things that don't get done on a regular basis. My parents are coming in a week, and I'd like to not look like we live like animals!
3. Get my SMC package ready and mailed, as well as my L&E card and birthday gift!
4. Take a picture a day of each of the kids ... on the regular camera. I don't use it NEARLY as much as I should.
5. Treat myself to Dunkin Donuts. I have a coupon for free coffee that's due to expire soon ... and something like that should never go to waste! ;)
How was your weekend?
Everything you wanted and more?!
What are your goals for the week ahead?!
Now I really want roasted marshmallows haha. :) Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend!
