Since S went to her very first movie outing the other afternoon, we decided we should take the time to really enjoy some one on one time with L.
Since he's our second, he never really had that individual time, save for an hour here or there with either of us around the house.
So we decided to take him with us to town and run a few errands.
Originally, we had thought about taking him to a park and then out for a treat, but with all the rain we've had, and the dark clouds that were looming all afternoon, we decided that might not be the best option for the day.
After he woke up from his nap, we loaded L into the car, and boy was it quiet!!
We walked around the Exchange, he and I, for a minute, and didn't need a cart to corral him. And he even played in the rocks they have in their decorative planters. He was in his element!
A quick run to Target to get him some new sandals, and we were on our way to dinner!
After checking out the parking lots at a few places, we decided to just go for it and hit up Golden Corral. Even though they were busy, its a no-wait kind of deal, and L always eats great there! A plate full of mac and cheese, green beans, peaches and a roll. And it all wound up in his belly ... save for a few bites that made their way to the floor.
His sister was already home when we got back -- she had a great time, and boy, was L happy to see her! It was all "Sissssssy!!!!!!" coming in the house! Those two are the best of friends!
But it was nice to get an afternoon with just our little boy!
I'm so glad you were able to enjoy one and one time with L! :)
