5 for Five

Happy Monday, everyone!

We had a nice weekend full of friendly visits. After spending the morning running a few errands in the pouring rain, we had our friends over for dinner Saturday evening. It was one of the last visits we will have with them -- for who knows how long. They are Air Force, and leaving the area for bigger and better things. A year in Korea for the husband, a year back at home with family in Guam for the wife, and then on to Florida. But it was nice to see them and let our kids all play until the late hours of the evening.

And again on Sunday, we got together with another couple of our friends. We grilled out, relaxed, and enjoyed some good company on a warm evening.

There's nothing better than time together with friends!

Last week's goals were:

1. Read a chapter out of my book - Finally! I've actually turned some pages in this book. I don't know what is keeping me from reading, other than just not enough time in the day lately. Because its a good book!
2. Check on the Care Credit Account - I finally found our card before my appointment and set up an account online so I can keep tabs on it. We've never used it before, but it came in handy for my dentist appointment.
3. Say farewell to our AF friends who are PCSing this month - I hate that we weren't able to get together more often, and it took until the month they were leaving for us to get together again. It had been too long. But we had a playdate with the kids on Monday, and again on Saturday, they came over and we had some yummy Adobo and Lumpia! We'll miss them - but thankfully, we'll have one more get together before they leave for good.
4. L's checkup and my own Dentist appointment - Appointments went. L's check up was good. He's growing well, and is all boy. My appointment turned into a root canal and was no party, to say the least. But at least its over and taken care of.
5. Make the kids Bentos for their snack before Story Time - After a night of horrible sleep thanks to a 3-year-old who wouldn't stay in her bed, and never fell asleep until after midnight, I had a horrible headache and was exhausted come Tuesday morning. Safe to say, they got a bag of fruit snacks and called it a day.

4/5 -- We definitely got the most important ones taken care of this week. I should have made the Bento's the night before and just tossed them in the fridge, but I wasn't really thinking, apparently. Oh well -- we'll try another time!

Onto this week's goals:

1. Read another chapter in my book -- This seems to be the solution to getting something read!!
2. Deep Clean L's Bedroom. I need to sort out too-small clothes, as well as baby toys
3. Mail out my Cara Box! -- This Nautical theme is just so much fun!
4. Get in 3 workouts and cardio at the gym
5. Get rid of all the boxes laying around the kitchen

What are your goals this week? And remember to head over and link up with Jessica and Jenn!
