5 for Five

Happy Memorial Day, Everyone!

Make sure you take a moment today to thank our Active Duty and Veteran Military members. After all, their  service and sacrifice is the real reason we have the day off, and therefore a long weekend this weekend. Lets remember what it's really all about.

Last week's goals were:

1. Get Caught Up on Laundry: Granted, the laundry never ends around here, so I still have loads to do almost daily ... but the over flowing mess that was the dirty laundry hamper has been taken care of.
2. Make Healthy Oatmeal Choc. Chip Cookies Recipe -- Made these. They were pretty tasty, but not crunchy or even slightly firm like a typical cookie. Because of this, after a day or two, they were gummy feeling, and I wound up tossing what was left.
3. Start Decluttering the house.
4. Read at least 20 minutes a day. Nope -- I didn't even pick up a book. I really need to get to the library. Even though I have a ton of stuff to read around here, I always get more reading done when its a book from the library.
5. No more than 1 small glass of soda a day. I did really good -- didn't buy any soda for the house, and only really drank it if we were out somewhere. Its getting better, even if the temptation is still there.

3 out of 5 -- I got the smaller tasks done, which is a start. I'll look at it positively!

Onto this week's goals:

1. Make reservations at the Base Inn for our night away at the beach this weekend.
2. Declutter the kids bedrooms and the spare bathrooms.
3. Read for 20 minutes a day.
4. Finish clearing out the DVR.
5. Make a list of things to do with the kids in our area [a summer bucket list].

What are your goals this week? And remember to head over and link up with Jessica and Jenn!
