5 for Five

Good Monday Morning, Folks!

Hope everyone had a good weekend -- and all of you Moms were celebrated and adored by your families yesterday!! For Mother's Day, M and the kids took me out to breakfast, and then to Raleigh to Pullen Park! We had a blast, riding on the train and carousel, as well as following the kids around the playground equipment and all the sand and water spots they had. We will definitely be going back there in the future!

I think I had equally as much fun as they did!

Last week's goals were:

1. Wash all of our laundry. Nope ... I did the best I could. And got my suitcase unpacked and those clothes washed. As well as most of our usual loads, too. But the husband? Well ... he seems to want to live out of his suitcase for now, so the dirty stuff in there still hasn't been washed. I love him ... but I clean up after the kids enough. Some days, I just don't feel like treating him like my third child.

2. Cook all of our meals at home. Yes, Ma'am!

3. Take the kids to a park to playFriday morning was beautiful and in the 80s so after running to town, we headed to the park. It was pretty quiet, since school is still in here. Since I have to follow on L's heels, making sure he doesn't high dive off any high surfaces, S got pretty bored fairly quickly, and after 45 minutes we were heading home already.

4. Find a dentist and make an appointment for myself. I called, became a patient and have made an appointment for later this month. And I called another dentist's office to see if they could mail my old xrays over. Now I just need to have my husband call the insurance company [since its his employer and HIS name is on the policy] and have them send us an actual card. We've never gotten one ...

5. Get the House Back to NormalOh yea ... its back to normal ... and already getting clutter piles here and there. The joys of constantly cleaning up after little ones!! I need to watch a few episodes of Hoarders, to really motivate me to just throw away all the mess laying around without a home!!

4 out of 5 isn't too bad for my first week back home!!

Here's what's on the list for this week:

1. Head to the post office
2. Get a copy of our dental insurance cards mailed or emailed to us from MetLife
3. Take S. out on her bike every day
4. Order my mom's birthday present
5. Make some covered magnets for a birthday gift

All pretty self explanatory. I also need to make sure that I am going for at least one walk everyday, and since I need to get S out there riding her bike, that will help with this other goal, as well.

What are your goals this week? And remember to head over and link up with Jessica and Jenn!

  2. Good job last week! I laughed out loud at your comment about your husband being your third child with you having to constantly cleanup after him - I feel like that sometimes, and my husband says he is "helping me to see what it will be like once we have kids." Sweet, right? LOL.

Also, I have MetLife dental through the military and don't have a card either - I just show the dentist my military ID as my insurance card and have never had a problem!
