5 for Five

Happy Monday!

We had a nice weekend around here! It was tax-free weekend here in North Carolina, so I took the kids out to get a few new things for their Fall wardrobe. They don't need a ton of stuff just yet, but it was fun to pick out a couple things to get them ready. A mini chambray shirt for S? Too adorable!

Saturday, M took the kids to pick out a birthday gift for me -- he had been working like crazy all week and didn't have time before then. Which is fine by me -- it just drags out the celebrating. And who doesn't want an excuse to keep having their birthday over and over all week? They got a cake, too! So we all enjoyed that as a family, and then M and I caught a movie with some friends.

Sunday, we drove up to M's grandparents for a visit. We had lunch and loads of laughs with them before coming home to finish enjoying our weekend.

Last week's goals were:

1. Strip all the bathroom and kitchen towels
2. Deep clean the bathrooms
3. Find a frame for my 3DD autographs and hang them up
4. Celebrate turning 27 !!!
5. Read a chapter in my book

3/5 -- Maybe I just needed to change things up a little?! Not really sure -- but I picked up a new book from the library, and wouldn't you know?! I actually found myself reading every day! Maybe I need a deadline or something, you know -- "The book has to be done by this date!" in order to really kick me in the butt. Finally!! Something to get me back to reading! And I'm not giving up on the book I was stuck on ... I'll just slowly peck away at it, a few pages at a time!

Onto this week's goals:

1. Read more of this new book
2. Find some blank cards that I love to use as birthday cards
3. Print some pictures to mail to my brothers of the kids
4. Clean out the medicine cabinet
5. Go out with the family for ice cream

What are your goals this week? And remember to head over and link up with Jessica and Jenn!

  1. Ice cream is my favorite goal! Maybe we can try that here also!
I think we had tax-free weekend as well, but I totally forgot about it. We stayed holed up all weekend.

  4. Every time I read a a Five for Five I think, "I should totally start doing this." But I'm so lazy I know I'd never get it done.

Thanks for linking up this week!
