Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day [a day late!]

We had planned a day at the beach with some friends for Saturday -- but due to a migraine on Daddy's behalf, we opted to stay home and head to Onslow Beach on Sunday. We hung out with some friends on base for a little bit, and the Devil Pup loved the doggy, Zook, they were doggy-sitting. Every time he walked around her, she giggled with excitement.

Late in the afternoon, we headed to our friends' house for a cook-out. We mommies hung out with the girls for awhile, while they slapped each other and stole each others things. Finally they warmed up to each other, and were cute playing for awhile. Devil Pup hung out around their four dogs for awhile, but the dogs got really excited, and accidentally scratched her face. She wanted NOTHING to do with them after that, and only wanted to cling to Mommy.

But I think she learned a little bit in watching her little friend. She's two, almost three, months older than Devil Pup, and crawling and pulling herself up on the furniture. Devil Pup, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with crawling, but talks a lot more than her little friend. She's so vocal and noisy! But just this morning, I noticed her rocking back and forth, trying to figure out how to get where she wants to go. Maybe it won't be long afterall.
