That's right. 27 years ago, my mom left home as a mother to two heathen boys. And came home a few days later with the sweetest, tiniest, little bundle of baby girl.
Unexpected baby girl, at that.
So what am I going to do to celebrate?
I'd love to say that I'm going to spend the week doing all the fun things I want: dancing and drinking, riding around town hanging out the sunroof, yelling to everyone watching that its time to celebrate ME! But that's not the case.
I'm still going to be changing diapers. And I'm probably going to still cook dinner tonight. I'm going to clean up messes. And pull out my hair when my two little monsters start fighting.
I'm a mom now. And birthdays seem to be just another day. Oh well ... it's the thought that counts, right?!
