Friends, Fun and Free Time at the Beach: Our Weekend in Review

Another Monday morning. Another weekend come and gone. And really, another month come and gone. But what a weekend we had! We packed up early Friday morning and headed out south. M had another chartered fishing trip through a Veterans organization, and the kids and I were going to spend time with  some friends of ours. The kids were very happy to get to play and run around all weekend with their friends -- and it seems no matter how much time passes, they can pick up right where they left off! We spent most of the weekend preparing for, and going to, a dance recital, but once it was done, and Sunday was here, we hit the beach. And had the best time. The kids were in their element: S wasn't afraid to run to the water, get wet by the waves and come back to roll in the sand. L sat at my feet, digging until he found China, practically, and occasionally going to the water to fill a bucket, or wash off a few shells. And I was happy to sit back, enjoy the view, and watch the kids play. What a great way to end the weekend!
